Samsung has made significant progress in the print industry over recent years, with global growth figures outperforming all competitors. Dion Smith, General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland says: “Until now, Samsung has focused solely on delivering exceptional A4 printers and multifunctional devices for the business and consumer market. Thanks to our ongoing investments in R&D, we hope the new A3 MultiXpress range will continue to deliver the same high standards in A3 that end-users have come to associate with all Samsung technology.

With businesses requiring more professional-looking documents than ever before, the Samsung MultiXpress C9350ND and C9250ND have been specifically designed in response to recent print trends like the need to deliver colour and mono outputs in high speed and high quality. Both models have been built with a fully modular set-up, various expandability options and a customisable open development platform known as XOA which allows the devices to cater for all businesses - from small teams right up to large departments. The implementation of Samsung’s unique XOA platform can make integration simple and effective allowing workgroups to achieve a multifunctional print environment tailored to their needs.

Samsung Advanced (Polymerized) Toner produces sharper images and lines, giving a more professional finish to documents due to smaller, more uniform toner particles. A wax layer and fine fusing protect printouts against folds and smudges, whilst reducing paper curl and paper jams. High transfer efficiency means less toner waste and a lower fusing temperature, reducing the overall power consumption. The toner is manufactured in a more energy efficient way, there is an overall CO2 reduction of 35% during production, resulting in less damage to the environment.

Both devices also feature Samsung’s Eco-button to save print resources. Administrators can even set-up a range of eco-friendly settings as standard such as 2-Up and 4-Up printing, reducing supplies consumption and the associated costs. Power Save mode also reduces the power consumption of the device whilst it’s not being used.

The MultiXpress C9350ND and C9250ND have also been awarded the 2010 Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) Pick and Highly Recommended Awards for outstanding design quality and performance. They have been designed with a variety of users in mind, and an extensive range of features that are simple and convenient, offering a reliable and secure way to print, copy, scan and fax. Both models are equipped with the Samsung Security Framework – a built-in defence that comes as standard. A protected and encapsulated microcontroller security chip - the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) - protects internal data against breaches to guarantee protection across the network, device and office environment and all security features are certified with the world-renowned Common Criteria (CC). If necessary, additional security features can be added to supplement the built-in security.
