By automating installation and configuration of hypervisor VMware ESXi VMware has launched VMware Go, a web-based service that allows small or medium businesses (SMBs) to virtualise servers and create running virtual machines, by automating the installation and configuration of hypervisor VMware ESXi.
The company said that VMware Go has created over three-thousand virtual machines for over one-thousand beta testers. VMware Go together with VMware ESXi provides companies with a way to reduce overhead and simplify business operations by running multiple operating systems and applications on a single server. Users who have moved to Windows 7 gave the new operating system a big thumbs up in a just-released survey, although people upgrading from XP were less enthusiastic than those migrating from Vista.

Company directors who allow staff to download software illegally are putting themselves and the company at risk of legal liability, software piracy watchdog FAST IiS has warned.
Internet data gathered by security firm ScanSafe across 100 countries revealed a 55% increase in illegal software and music downloads on corporate networks from October to December 2009.
FAST IiS recommends that all businesses have an IT policy as part of the conditions of employment and ensure that all employees are aware of the consequences of using corporate computers for illegal software downloads. Guidance for businesses is available on the FAST IiS website.
