Pull printing is where print documents are submitted to a centrally shared print queue and then forwarded to an application for secure storage. When the user is ready to collect their print documents they walk up to any pull-printing equipped printer or copier and authenticate.

Deleting unwanted print jobs
Depending on the chosen solution, users can authenticate at the printer using numeric codes, windows credentials, magnetic or proximity cards.  Should the user not collect the job by authenticating at the printer, the job can automatically be erased from the secure storage after a set time, often after 12 hours.

Restricting colour printing
As an administrator you can also determine printing rights, for example you may decide to restrict the usage of colour printing to certain members of staff, thus reducing wasted colour ink/toner.
